Key Club meeting, Friday, December 7

A BIG Thank You to everyone who helped fill our Angel Worx basket!  We had quite a full basket.

Also Thank You to everyone who bought gifts and everyone who helped wrap the gifts for our New Toy Drive.  All the gifts went to Tri-Capp Health Families and are staying in the Dubois County Area. 

Salvation Army bell ringing- if you have not signed up for a date...please do! We need every member to take a shift.

Awesome job last week!  Everyone showed up on schedule!  Mr. Cunningham THANKS YOU also.  He knows he can always count on the Key Club to take part in this wonderful service opportunity! 

This is it for the last of the projects this year!  We will meet again next Friday to finish up this year and look at a couple projects in January.

We will be wrapping toys, eating pizza and drinks. If you can not make it, please give your toy to someone so we can get it taken care of. Kiwanis Lunch-  Tuesday, November 13th- during 5th period.  We need all permission slips in ASAP if you are going.  Meet out front of school in lobby at the end of 4th pd.  You will be back for 6th period. 

Salvation Army Bell Ringing-  Please sign up if you have't yet.  We need EVERYONE to take a shift and do their part!  We do this every year and make a promise that we will HELP!

New Toy Drive-  please sign up and take a slip.  We will be collecting presents on Sunday, December 2nd at 1:00.  Meet down in the community room.  Please bring a pair of scissors.  We will have pizza and drinks.  If you can not make it, please send your toy with someone so it is wrapped.  All gifts will be sent off Monday, Dec 3rd so please meet your obligation. 

Angel Worx Basket-  again...another promise we make to help out our community.  Please bring an item to throw in our basket to help out the 'generations' program.  We will be taking donations on Sat, Dec 2nd of the new toy drive. 

JCAC needs help Sat, Dec 1st @ 2:30-  please meet at the arts center auditorium to help usher, take tickets, and whatever else assistance they need.  The play is Babes in Toyland.  You may also stay and watch the show.  We need about 8 people for this!

Tuesday, November 8th- 6:00-8:30-  need babysitters at 5th street.  This is so parents may attend a meeting and they need us to help volunteer our babysitting services.  Not too hard...color and watch movies with the kiddos!

Monday, November 12th-  2:30-6:00-  5th street needs help with their fundraiser pick up.  If you can go an hour or couple hours that would be great.  They need help sorting and getting the items to the parents.  Go to the gym and ask for Alissa Brosmer, she can direct you to what she needs.

Rake n Run is this SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4th at 1:00- meet in the front of the high school.  Please bring your rakes, leaf blowers, and tarps.  This is  HUGE PROJECT & everyone MUST ATTEND.  This is our service project! 

Koats for Kids-  We are also collecting gently used coats on Sunday. 

Kiwanis Lunch-  5th period-  Tuesday, November 13th
Please meet in the front lobby of school.  Dress Nice!  You MUST HAVE your permission slip filled out and turned in by Friday, November 9th if you are attending.  Free fried chicken meal.  Key Club does the program. 

New Toy Drive-  Sunday, December 2nd at 1:00- meet in the community room.  Bring your toy to be wrapped.  This is our xmas party.  We will have pizza and drink and wrapping paper.  If your item needs a box, please bring one.  And bring a scissors! 

Angel Worx basket-  We always take donations for a basket for the Angel Worx program. (elderly) I have the basket, and just ask the members to FILL IT UP! Items range from toilet paper to denture cream!  Please help us fill this up! 

Salvation Army Bell Ringing-  3 weekends in December
We need all members to sign up for at least one shift. 
We ring the  bell at Kmart and Walmart Friday's after school and Saturday afternoons. 

BABYSITTERS NEEDED!  Title 1 Family evening on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13th at 6:00 till about 8:30.  at 10th Street!  All you do is watch kids in the cafeteria while their parents attend the meeting. 

Remember YOU joined Key Club!  You WILL participate in our projects.  If you don't, you will get your money back.  Please be faithful to your obligation!  We only need members that will keep our KEY CLUB name true....and that is SEVICE to my HOME, SCHOOL, and COMMUNITY!

 9:30- on October 13th until 1:30.  Those that signed up to help with the family fun day at the Memorial Hospital Lodge for the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center.  Volunteers need to wear there tshirt.  You will be helping out with carnival games and helping people.  Great Opportunity! 

10th Street needs tutoring-  after school 3:30-4:30---Monday through Thursday.  Please sign up and let me know what day(s) you can make it.  This is a great opportunity!

Fifth Street needs a few babysitters for their Kindergarten Connections program on Monday, Feb 27th.   members to volunteer from 6:30- to about 8:00.  You will be in the cafe and color, do homework, and just fun activities with the kids while their parents attend this meeting. 

IU school of business- Kiwanis Lunch on Tuesday, Feb 7th-  if you would like to attend this luncheon, please let me know and have your parent write note so you have permission to attend.  It is a free- fried chicken meal and information about IU Kelley school of Business.

Please sign up to help read.  It is from 10-11.  Be there by 9:30ish and go to the front desk.  Tell them you are a Key Club member and here to read.  You will go to the theater and they have picked out books, video, color sheets.  They always have a theme too.....animals....valentines day....Franklin...etc..

Precious Blood School needs help-Mardi Gras! 
Friday, February 10th from 6:30-8:30-  20 volunteers needed for the Minute to Win it games.  Please sign up!  You enter the north doors/gym doors and tell them you are Key Club volunteer.  You will get to work with your friend too, so buddy up! 

Convention-  deadline to turn in is Friday, February 3rd.  Anyone interested in attending needs to let me know so we can get registration filled out. 

KIWANIS LUNCH-  Tuesday, February 7th-  if you are interested in IU/ school of business you need to attend.  This is an informative meeting for whats upcoming at IU.  Please let me know so I can email reservations.  It is FREE to you Key Clubbers-  Fried Chicken meal. YUM! 

Everyone get their new membership card if they are a new member?  Let me know if not! 

LOG your hours! It is so important that you do this and give credit where credit is DUE!  If you don't write down your hours, you and Key Club does not get credit.  Our Key Club year will end by Spring Break.  We have a Key Club banquet in April that we do give awards to those active members.  So please, be a responsible Key Clubber and participate and finish up strong!

If we should have bad weather and we have a 2 hour delay, please do not head to school early for a Key Club meeting.  We will not have a meeting IF there ever is a 2 hour delay!

Welcome Back Key Cubbers!

Membership Cards-  All new members to the club get a membership card and member handbook.  Please pick your up.  You will need to hold on to this as long as you are member of Key Club in highschool. 

We made a list of inactive members....please check that your blue sheet of service hours is filled out and in your class binder.  We need to continue our service!

DCON-  board members interested, must have registration in to Mrs. Beck by Monday, January 30th.

Staff Appreciation week- *Please bring a snack/breakfast/tray item to the library/copy room in the morning.  Hannah and Samantha will be there to take item.  1 goodie=1 hour

Please sign up to help out.  You will need to be at the library by 9:30-9:45.  The program begins at 10:00.  When you arrive, go to the front desk and let them know you are a Key Club member who is here to read.  You will go to the children's 'theater' area.  They will have everything ready, such as books picked out, coloring sheets, videos.   Make it fun!  This is for kids ages 3 years and up! 
It will last aprox 45 min to an hour.
We need about 3-4 people each Saturday.
